La Bréa's history

La Bréa International has been in business since 1993, with the head office located in Montréal. The company is considered as a leader in the industry of stainless steel jewellery, with urban and contemporary style.

Founded in the family residence of Mr. Marc Létourneau and is spouse, Louise Legaré, the business was specialized in the distribution of fashion watches and accessories.

The company then moved to a new location on Bates Road in the Outremont neighbourhood of Montreal. Five years later, the distribution of mini clocks and licensed items were added, such as: Simpsons, Disney Watches and Cat in the Hat in order to diversify the offer to the retailers. That is when La Bréa Int'l started providing National Chains Stores.

In 2000, taking advantage of the retailer's keen interest for the new product offer, La Bréa started distributing Titanium watches and jewellery of the brand Boccia. This brand made in Germany, offers quality jewellery at an affordable price and of impressive simplicity.

In 2004, remaining on the look-out of new tendencies, La Bréa Int'l launched STEELX, the new stainless steel brand. Supported by a mass marketing plan, STEELX was an instant success. The arrival of the STEELX « flyer » distributed at 2 million copies in North America and others promotional tools such as TV publicity, buses, Montreal Subway and national magazines contributed to consolidate the brand.

In 2007, at an International trade show in Basel, Switzerland, La Bréa met with the owner of Axcent of Scandinavia, a Swedish designed watch brand. After a few years of market analysis, La Bréa officially launched the brand Axcent of Scandinavia on the North America market.

Although modest, the International market development has evolved recently in the United States, Mexico and other countries in Europe.

In 2009, the company expanded and a larger workspace became necessary for production and to answer our clientele's needs. That is why in April, La Bréa International moved into new offices on St-Denis Street in Montreal.

Constantly looking for new ideas and concepts in the fashion industry, La Bréa International continues to evolve with the trends, in order to offer its clients the latest fashion crazes.
